“Ultimately our happiness, success and meaning in work and life are derived from tapping in and renewing our 'springs' within our self. This is where we are conscious, nourished and this is where we bounce back.” - Donna Devlin
Considering the time spent at work, many of us aspire towards creating more enriching and meaningful work environments. Who we are and what we bring to our work can transform our workplace from moment to moment. We all have a hand in shaping our work and life and building caring, respectful, rewarding relationships. Using the acronym THRIVE, we will address the following questions: who we are, how our thoughts govern us, whether we are mindful and present in our work, whether our relationships are kind and respectful, where we get our inspiration, how our values guide us and when we need to renew and get energy.
T- Thoughts – How’s your attitude?
H- Here- Are you present?
R- Relationships – Are yours respectful and kind?
I- Inspiration – Where/what is yours?
V- Values – Are yours guiding you?
E- Energy- Do you need to renew yourself?
“The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.” - M. Scott Peck

'Difficult' or high conflict personality traits can add enormous stress and conflict to yourself and your work environment. It is helpful to understand difficult personality traits, your reaction and explore “calmer” ways to deal with these personalities.
“Conflict is the beginning of consciousness.” M. Esher Harding
What goes on between people can not be separated from one goes on within people. The deepest causes of conflict come from feelings of disrespect, fears and misunderstandings. We will explore how making a shift in how we perceive and deal with conflicts lead to opportunities to grow, learn and create. Daily struggles and conflict will exist, however the key to the HeART of Conflict is in having a different relationship that allow us to create stepping stones instead of stumbling blocks.
“Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take between two deep breaths.” ~Etty Hillesum
